Orwell set out to make “political writing into an art” and listed his four great motives for writing as “sheer egoism, aesthetic enthusiasm, historical impulse and political purpose”. Logan Roy, the protagonist of multi-Emmy award-winning drama series Succession certainly shares some of those character traits. Join his creator, Jesse Armstrong in conversation with Geoff Lloyd and Sara Barron, the hosts of spin-off podcast Firecrotch and Normcore as they talk power, politics, money and the creation of the world’s most highly dysfunctional fictional dynasty.
